Google Classroom-Students will sign in with their password with 26 (first initial) (last name) "@jd.cnyric.org. They must put "jd" after their password ####(first initial)(last initial)("jd")
e.g. 26kdoss@jd.cnyric.org 1111kdjd
Google Docs- Students will type writing pieces and assignments. They may access from home.
Spelling City- Students will take pre/post test and can play games with missed words. Vocabulary and Content word lists are also included.
ExtraMath- This site will focus practice on facts that your child hesitates on. The should try to use the program 5 minutes per day for the best results. Students will be expected to achieve 90% accuracy/fluency as follows:
1st mp: addition /subtraction
2nd: multiplication
3rd: division
NewsELA-This site allows students to choose topics for independent reading and comprehension practice. This may count towards their 20 minutes of reading per day.
New York Studies Weekly-This is a newspaper used to cover SS content. There are primary sources for independent research and extended learning opportunities. This may count towards 20 minutes of reading.

Scholastic News Online-This is a current event site with many opportunities to enhance reading skills. Articles can be read aloud to students, and there are many enrichment/independent learning opportunities.
